Publisher's Description
Hamachi is a zero-configuration virtual networking application enabling secure direct communications between any two computers on the Internet regardless of the presence of firewalls or address translation devices on the route between them. In particular, it can create true peer-to-peer network between two computers each residing behind its own broadband router. Sleek and simple interface, fast and transparent operation.

This s*** ain't worth anyone's time unless they pay for other things on logmein i suppose, then it will work as is used to. (fairly easy but slowly)
For them that used Tunngle i say, sorry it's dead...
So only thing I can recomend now are OpenVPN, or what i prefer to use SoftEtherVPN as it's alot easyer to configure yet more powerful in the end than OpenVPN. Cheers!

Another good app that joined the dark side a long time ago.
Spend some time with OpenVPN.
It's free and can do most of what Hamachi does.

Progressively crippled by the company that bought it and promised not to change it.

What good is VPN if it goes offline all the time?
HydrantHunter reviewed v2.2.0.114 on Jan 27, 2014
Used to be good. No idea if it's any good now as I stopped using it years ago when they started crippling the free version. No big loss, though - Tunngle is just as good, if not better.

First it went from 10 to 5 free users and I thought it was bad. Now LMI has made many of their other products paid-only. Not sure if this one is still free for personal use or not since I don't use it anymore, but if it is, I doubt it will be for long.
There is no reason to pay for 99% of the functionality in the products LMI sells. If you pay, it's for ease of setup.

Used to be great, now it's junk used to try and sell you something that can be had elsewhere for free.
Newest version also added some useless service that runs in the background. The description in the Services control panel suggests it's a data collector of some sort...

As predicted, this app is now scumware. Avoid!!!
Use anything else, I personally use neorouter.

Used to be good, now its garbage...
LMI got greedy and made everything but the bare minimum paid features. 5 users max per network, it no longer runs as a service, and you can't even exit in at least one version. Then they raised the prices and made it subscription...

Functionality is still good, but LogMeIn recently reduced the number of members that can belong to a network from 16 to 8 without 'upgrading' to the non-free version. When the company was sold to LogMeIn, Hamachi creator Andy Pankrat provided assurances that the free service would continue undiminished. This is no longer the case.
Worse, pricing on the paid model has changed from a one-time fee for the software to an annual subscription depending on the number of members in your network.

Pros: None atm
Cons: Paywall and slow

Nicely done, a lot better now. :)
Though 2 of 3 upgrade installs failed for me on Win 7 and on Win XP. ugh!

Last 'working' build is 2.0.2.85.
Every build after that they screwed something up.
First they screwed up UPnP, then they removed the 'exit' button from the system tray.
So now what did they screw up? Ugh
If it ant broken, do not fix it!

Not sure why someone would downgrade this app to one star even if they do like NeoRouter better. Hamachi does what it says, and does it well.
