I am wondering this too!
Wondering if it’s good enough for MacBook Air to run TS4 decently well (with almost all the packs but little to no CC). I know they run games a little better, but I absolutely refuse to get a Pro (TouchBar is a dealbreaker). The Sims 4 is the only gaming I do, so a whole gaming laptop isn’t worth it for me. Yes, The Sims 4 runs on M1 Macs via Rosetta 2. The Sims 4 is a life simulation game that gives you the power to create and control your very own Sim. The Sims 4 is the latest entry in the legendary Sims series and features tons of new systems that make it the more sophisticated and enthralling Sims game to date.
When I bought my Mac Mini with full specs, I really hoped I would be able to play Sims 3 decently, but it all turned out to be a disaster.
I could not play Sims 3 in MacOS because the game kept crashing, and having sever graphical corruptions. When I started the game in Windows 10, it was playable, but still, I was really disappointed not being able to play the game on more than low-mid-settings.
But, I have learned by my mistakes. When playing Sims 3, the graphics card on your Mac/PC is essential for having a decent gaming-exerience. You may have 16GB of RAM, and an i7 processor, but if your graphics card is not compatible with Sims 3, then you'll not have a decent experience.
I found a list on Mod The Sims showing every compatible graphics cards, so I suggest you check it out there (:
This summer, I will buy a max specd MacBook Pro 2017, I will try to remember your post and come back with some feedback from my experience playing the game (: I have no plans installing Windows on that one too though, I feel Windows is so slow compared with MacOS, at least on my Mac Mini.
Again, I will try to remember your post!
